Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce that 11 lawyers in the Taipei office have been named to Asia Business Law Journal's A-List of Taiwan's Top 100 Lawyers for 2022. This distinction recognizes lawyers who are well equipped to tackle the ever-changing business landscape in Taiwan.

    Henry's practice focuses on the areas of M&A, cross-border dispute resolution, technology, media, telecom (TMT) and corporate compliance.

     

  • Lindy Chern (Practice areas: Corporate, IP and Technology, M&A)

    Lindy advises on the development, operation, and dispute matters connected to real properties such as hypermarkets, department stores and industrial and commercial complexes.

     

  • Alex Chiang (Practice areas: M&A, Capital Markets)

    Alex's practice covers M&A, banking, capital markets, private equity, direct investment, securitization, securities transaction and insurance matters.

     

  • Hao-Ray Hu (Practice areas: Banking & Finance, M&A, Sustainability)

    Hao-Ray advises on banking and finance, M&A and corporate matters. He also has extensive experience advising financial institutions on post-acquisition integration.

     

  • Tiffany Huang (Practice areas: Construction, Projects, Dispute Resolution, Real Estate)

    Tiffany is the head of the Firm’s Construction and Power Project practice groups in Taipei. She focuses her practice on construction and major infrastructure project-related works.

     

  • Wen-Yen Kang (Practice areas: Capital Markets, Corporate/ M&A)

    Wen-Yen has substantial experience in cross-border transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and cross-border securities offerings.

     

  • Justin Liang (Practice areas: Banking & Finance, Capital Markets)

    Justin advises on banking and finance, M&A and capital markets transactions, including on the negotiation and documentation aspect of project financing and other matters related to bank lending or other extensions of credit; M&A transactions of financial institutions and post-acquisition integration; non-performing loan purchase and sales; and international capital markets transactions, including public and private offering of equity, equity-linked and debt securities in connection with financing transactions.

     

  • Seraphim Ma (Practice areas: Employment, Dispute Resolution)

    Seraphim counsels on employment issues related to M&A, hiring and employment contracts (including non-competition and confidentiality), employee handbooks, codes of conduct, severance, pension, termination, harassment/discrimination, occupational safety and union negotiations.

     

  • Grace Shao (Practice areas: IP and Technology, Dispute Resolution)

    Grace practices in a vast array of IP and tech related matters, including patent/trademark management and enforcement, copyright and digital media, cybersecurity and privacy issues, especially in the pharmaceutical, high-tech, fashion and entertainment industries.

     

  • Michael Wong (Practice areas: M&A, Tax)

    Michael focuses his practice on M&A transactions, cross-border commercial transactions and joint ventures. He also specializes in cross border international tax planning for acquisition and post-deal integration. He is the Firm's Asia Pacific Chair.

     

  • Wayne Yang (Practice areas: Banking & Finance, Capital Markets)

    Wayne focuses his practice on banking, finance and securities matters. He has represented and advised leading airlines and lease companies in the structuring, negotiation and arrangement of aircraft sale and leaseback transactions. He has also represented arrangers, project companies and IPPs in structuring, negotiating and drafting documents in various finance transactions for IPP and BOT cases. Wayne is seasoned in providing sound legal advice regarding equity issues on local stock exchange, the issuance of ADRs and GDRs.
